Arkansas suffers home sweep
FAYETTEVILLE, Arkansas – A late power surge by No. 4 Arkansas (19-10, 4-5 SEC) was not enough to pull past Florida (23-6, 6-3 SEC) in a 7-6 loss Sunday at Baum-Walker Stadium as the Hogs were swept at home for the first time since 2016.
The Gators pounded the Razorback pitching staff for seven runs on 17 hits, including a pair of homers. Florida broke a 1-1 tie in the top of third with two runs and never looked back, holding off Arkansas on its way to the series-sweeping win.

## Major Historical Events
1867: The Purchase of Alaska – U.S. Secretary of State William H. Seward reached an agreement with Russia to purchase Alaska for $7.2 million (roughly two cents per acre). At the time, critics mocked it as "Seward's Folly," though the discovery of gold and oil later proved it to be one of the greatest bargains in history.

1964: Jeopardy! Debuts – The iconic game show created by Merv Griffin premiered on NBC. Hosted originally by Art Fleming and later by Alex Trebek, it has become one of the most popular programs in television history.
1870: The 15th Amendment – This landmark amendment to the U.S. Constitution went into effect, guaranteeing that the right to vote shall not be denied or abridged on account of race, color, or previous condition of servitude.
1979: Three Mile Island Incident – One of the most serious accidents in U.S. commercial nuclear power history occurred when the Three Mile Island plant in Pennsylvania experienced a partial meltdown.
